DESCRIPTION:
Japy Freres, Paris, France, three piece mantel garniture set, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with platform escapement, the case with three putti supporting a sphere with applied roman numerals and arrow hands resting on a marble base with gilt cast appliques and two matching side pieces with putti holding aloft the candleabra
CONDITION:
the case retains its original finish on the ball form case and the original gilding. The marble and apllied castings are in good condition with only minor chips on the candelabra. The platform escapement has been replaced. Dimensions are of clock only, the two cadleabra are of similar dimensions.
